  Oval cottage is simply stunning! It is so beautiful I could simply have stayed in for the entire week! I was especially happy sitting by the amazing fire sipping wine chatting with friends! But staying in would mean I would miss all of the glorious surroundings, and being a 2 minute walk from the village shops (especially the adorable little hand-made chocolate shop) and castle was perfect! Inside the cottage, everything is thought of from start to finish to make the stay as luxurious as possible! I would recommend anyone to go here, from a romantic retreat, family walking holiday with the dogs, to a great weekend away with the girls! It is simply FABULOUS!

  There is something for everyone here or nearby - you do not have to be walking mad to enjoy it although I am sure the walkers will give excellent reviews! The house is a gem, steeped in history but with all necessary mod cons including wi-fi for those teenagers who could not quite leave the internet behind for a week. Allow longer than you anticipate for a browse round the village shops! My children tell me we need to go back and get a day pass to go swimming at Butlins in Minehead ...
